The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has submitted a proposal to revise the current restrictions on cadmium and its compounds in fine art pigments.
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has submitted a proposal to revise the current restrictions on cadmium and its compounds in fine art pigments.
The intention of the registration on the ECHA website indicates that the new amendment will limit cadmium in fine art pigments (EU Tariff Code: 3212) and also includes a 0.01 per cent concentration cap to facilitate the implementation of the measure.
Earlier in 2013, Sweden announced its intention to submit a proposal to extend the limits on pigments. Sweden submitted a restriction proposal in January this year.
